The man was seen by punters inside the Magna Carta pub, in Lincoln, at around 7pm on Sunday.
Armed police were already patrolling the city centre in the aftermath of the
Parsons Green terror attack, and were on the scene in minutes.
Jody Bett, the manager of the pub, which sits in Lincoln’s historic
centre of Bailgate, told Metro.co.uk: ‘We were all shocked. It’s not the
kind of thing that happens in Bailgate.’
‘He came in our toilets and then went outside. The next minute, he had his clothes off and was running around,’ Mr Bett said.
He added: ‘It’s not very good when there are children around, that’s the problem.
‘Police were quick at acting and sorted it.’
David Jason from Heighington captured the footage of the naked man baring all in the rain.
The man can be seen lying on his front on the cobbles completely
naked and barefoot before jumping up and running around the corner.
David told Lincolnshire Live: ‘We had just parked our push bikes
opposite the pub. We thought he looked a bit iffy as he kept walking
past our bikes.
‘Then out of the blue he did that, then the police came.
‘Everyone in the pub was watching him.’
Pub manager Mr Bett admitted that ‘drugs are a big problem’ in Lincoln.
Shocking images of
‘drug zombies’ in the city emerged last month, showing people slumped in phone boxes and lying on shop floors.
Business owners say the drug users, who are normally young white men, are high on former ‘legal drugs’ like Spice and Mamba.
Lincolnshire Police has been contacted for further comment.
